77 Hell Night

Four college pledges are forced to spend the night in a deserted old mansion where they get killed off one by one by the monstrous surviving members of a family massacre years earlier for trespassing on their living grounds.

There’s something about this movie that really just works for me. It’s fairly typical in its plot but it is executed wonderfully. I remember the first time that I saw it, I was excited to watch it again with a friend.

66 They Live

A drifter discovers a pair of sunglasses that allow him to wake up to the fact that aliens have taken over the Earth. OBEY.

Rowdy Roddy Piper brings the ass-kick in this one! This one is more sci-fi/fantasy than horror but it HAD to make my list regardless. You’ve heard the quote so I’ll spare you but this movie is EPIC killer.

55 Night Of The Demons

On the night of Halloween, 10 teens decide to go to a party at an abandoned funeral parlor. “Hull House”, rumored to be built on an evil patch of land & underground stream, is the place. While starting the party, the teens gather around a big mirror to perform a seance…BIG MISTAKE. They awaken some evil force and find themselves trapped and taken over one by one. Now it’s a battle for who can survive and cross over the stream before going to hell….

Oddly, where I thought that most people had heard of this series and seen it, almost no one I talked to had heard of it. It’s a long time favorite of mine, both parts 1 and 2. I’ve yet to see the remake so can’t comment on it but this is a rock n roll, party crowd, Halloween dare delight!

44 Sleepaway Camp

Slightly disturbed and painfully shy Angela Baker is sent away to summer camp with her cousin. Not long after Angela’s arrival, things start to go horribly wrong for anyone with sinister or less than honorable intentions.

I’m surprised that this one is underground for anyone at all. This movie has one of the most surprising endings ever noted in horror for lots of us who watched it before the internet told us everything beforehand. It’s surely riding right off the coat-tails of Friday the 13th, but in my opinion.. that’s not a bad thing. AND it did great standing on its own, I feel like it’s very different and valid.

33 Terrorvision

A family’s new satellite TV system starts receiving signals from another planet, and soon it becomes the passageway to an alien world.

Classless cheese mixed with NASTY fluids, sex, rock and roll and uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. Enjoy!

22 Return To Horror High

A few years ago, a mysterious serial-killer caused panic on Crippen High School. The killer was never caught. A movie company, Cosmic Pictures, has decided to make a feature movie about these events – on location, at the now abandoned school. Since members of cast and crew disappear without a trace, it seems as if history is repeating itself…

George Clooney doing horror? Heck yes! This is admittedly a pretty cheesy flick with subpar about everything but I like it a lot. I love B horror from the 80’s, I’m a sucker for it and this does not disappoint if that’s all you’re after!

2. Return To Horror High

11 Dark Night Of The Scarecrow

In a small town, a wrongfully killed man exacts revenge on those who murdered him beyond the grave.

This may be the most obscure on the list but I saved it for last because it’s a personal favorite. I absolutely LOVE this movie, got the blu-ray a few months ago and have watched it multiple times. It was a made-for-tv movie which I think just ups how things have changed, that’d never happen now and actually be GOOD.
